Proposing, Alaska Style!

This man waited to propose until just the right time… and that happened to be at 2 a.m. when the Alaskan night sky was perfectly a lit!

I would imagine the woman believed they were just going to out to catch the colourful sight, when her significant other got down on one knee (in what looks like his plaid PJs) and popped the question:

It just so happened that a professional photographer was also poised and ready to capture the northern lights, when she turned to the car of people beside her and asked if they would like a picture. The bride-to-be’s father responded ‘ yes please, he’s about to propose’!

Although it was a matter of ‘right place at the right time’, she admits that the Bride-To-Be thought the professional photographer was hired to be there and capture the couple’s special moment!

The photographer says she was ‘excited and happy to capture this for them’ – no matter if it was a happy accident!

These beautiful photos were taken at a US military base near Anchorage, Alaska. The best time to see the northern lights is between September and April, and this year caps off a 5 year activity high.
