Remembrance day will be observed a little differently this year.

The City of London states: “The 2020 London Remembrance Day Ceremony will be conducted at the London Cenotaph in Victoria Park on November 11, 2020 while working within the restrictions imposed by the current pandemic. Participation is by invitation only and spectators are discouraged from attending due to local restriction and the requirement to physically distance.”

There are still a few ways you can take part in the day, however.

  • Watch London’s Remembrance Day Ceremony streamed by Rogers TV.
  • At 11:00 a.m. on November 11, stand outside your residence or business to publicly observe two minutes of silence.
  • Wear a Poppy. Thank a Veteran.

Millions of poppies will be handed out leading up to Remembrance Day.

The Royal Canadian Legion launched its annual National Poppy Campaign. Due to the pandemic, new touchless donation boxes have been introduced this year and some of the country’s iconic landmarks will be lit up in red.

The touchless donation boxes are located at HSBC Bank Canada branches, details CLICK HERE. They are also available at some Ontario Legion branches and in select retail locations.
