Noel Gallagher is giving up booze. The musician says he needs a break from alcohol after “caning it” last year and is planning a healthy start to 2024 ahead of recording his latest album. In a new interview he said: “I’ve moved into London. I’ve moved house over the Christmas period. I’ve come back off tour and been caning it all year. I’ve been doing a lot of boozing, but I was like, ‘I could do with a quiet one.’ I feel [terrible] if I’m honest. I’m going to try and get off the booze actually. I’m looking forward to not doing much for the first six months of the year.” Noel said he will miss lager and red wine explaining, “You drink to get drunk. Which is why I stick to lager and Guinness and red wine and maybe a Dark Stormy now and then… which is rum and lime and ginger beer. And the straw is optional.”
