Foo Fighters have just kicked off their summer tour with a performance in New Hampshire featuring their new drummer, Josh Freese.

The band announced that Freese was joining the group during a livestream on Sunday May 21st, following the passing of their previous drummer Taylor Hawkins.

Freese actually performed during a pair of Hawkins tribute shows last September in L.A. The tribute shows were their most recent performances until this week.

They performed 4 songs from the upcoming album, “Rescued,” “Under You,” “But Here We Are,” and “Nothing At All.”  This was the first time “Cold Day in the Sun” has been performed in over 5 years. They also played classics like “Walk” and “Learn to Fly.”

Foo Fighters’ upcoming album, But Here We Are, will be released on June 2.
