Jack 102.3 is Celebrating World Down Syndrome Day to help raise awareness of what Down syndrome is, what it means to have Down syndrome, and how people with Down syndrome play a vital role in our lives and communities. The date for WDSD being the 21st day of the 3rd month, was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome.

This beautiful video was put together by 50 different every day moms and their amazing kids in to show “we love our kids, they love us, and they are just like other four-year-olds, we wouldn’t change them,”  and accompanied by the hashtag #wouldntchangeathing, the video took months of filming, with mothers from around the UK submitting their footage

Even James Corden has taken notice:

You can celebrate WDSD too with #lotsofsocks!   Wear bright socks, tall socks or mismatched and show your support for all the amazing kids and adults in our community.  Curtis and Hilary are rocking their mismatched socks but to be fair, they probably would have anyway!
