If you are a product of the 80’s or early 90’s then you seen or been influenced by a John Hughes film.   John Hughes passed away August 6th, 2009 and took a piece of our childhood with him but left amazing films with some of the greatest soundtracks of our lives.

Today on his birthday I would like to countdown my Top 5 John Hughes films (could be written or directed by).

NUMBER 5:  CAREER OPPORTUNITIES`(1991)

Who wouldn’t want to get locked in a Target with Jennifer Connelly and a couple of criminals?

NUMBER 4: Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (1986)

This is so good that it hurts me to put it at #4.  Everyone new a Ferris at their school…maybe you were Ferris?

NUMBER 3: BREAKFAST CLUB (1985)

Another great look at high school cliques and how they were all not that different plus a great library dance scene.

NUMBER 2: UNCLE BUCK (1989)

This movie still holds up and John Candy kills it as the good hearted black sheep of the family.

NUMBER 1: WEIRD SCIENCE (1985)

I can watch this movie over and over again.  Packed with hilarious scenes, memorable moments and dated computer graphics!
