Sad news in the rock world, as multiple sources and reports are coming in that Tom Petty has passed away at the age of 66.

According to reports, Petty was transported to hospital late last night after being found unconscious in full cardiac arrest at his home and put on life support.

Tom Petty was best known as the frontman for Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.
