It’s a pool day! Come on down to Oakridge Pool for their Real Life Hero Day! There’s games for the kids, a chance to meet Police Officers and see their Zodiac boat and of course – go for a swim! Real life hero, Police Constable Matt Hopkins, who has saved over 130 lives with be there to chat with the kids too.

Friday, August 18

Find Sara and Loop at Landmark Cinemas on Wellington for your chance to play to win movie passes and more! Then, enjoy a new release movie in one of their super comfortable leather recliners!

Saturday, August 19

The day starts at the London Toy Ride! Registration opens at 11am and the ride kicks off at 12pm from the Home Depot on Dundas and bikers will be collecting toys for the Slavation Army Christmas Hamper program. If you’re interested in making a donation and want to know more you can check out the event HERE!

Ready for a TREE-mendous afternoon?! The join us at Harris Park for the Reforest Festival celebrating the Forest City! This free, family friendly event kicks off at 11am and has games and activities for kids, a BBQ by the Growing Chefs and you can leave with a new tree for your yard – by donation. Everyone is welcome!

After all those activities, you’ll need a cold beverage. Follow us to Anderson Craft Ales 1st Anniversary Party at their brewery at 1030 Elias Street! The party kicks off at noon and runs until 10pm. There’s live entertainment, food and of course you can sample their delicious, award winning beer!

Sunday, August 20

Get the family up bright and early on Sunday and join us at Kusterman’s Berry Farm for a day filled with fun! The fun farm has zip lines, giant slides, huge jumping pillows and even pony rides! Berry season may be winding down but the fun is ramping up at Kusterman’s!

Have an old bike you don’t need or use anymore? Considering donating it to the Big Bike Giveaway! This is an initiative run by a local couple who repair broken bikes and give them back to those in need in our community. Their next donation day is Sunday at Westmount Mall if you’re able to donate.

Looking for somewhere to relax for the afternoon? Visit the Back to the Garden Music & Arts Festival in Dorchester! We’ll be on site for the afternoon checking out the vendors and listening to some great local artists performing on TWO stages! Check out the line ups HERE!
