Blues fans will be in for a great show in Victoria Park this summer at London BluesFest 2016. Headline acts announced today include the Downchild Blues Band, Devon Allman (son of Greg Allman), Scott Holt and many big Canadian blues acts such as Big Rude Jake, Bill Durst, Robin Banks, Wild-T & The Spirit and Juno Award Winners Steve Strongman and Jack Dekeyser.

With four stages, 2 licensed areas and hours of free Blues entertainment, the London BluesFest in downtown London is exactly what blues lovers near and far are in need of! The festival will run from Friday, August 26th from 6pm-11pm and August 27th and 29th from 1pm-11pm each day.

London Bluefest will be 100% free to attend in Victoria Park. In addition to the headliners, many local greats will also entertain Londoners this August 26-28, including Denise Pelley, Sara Smith, Soul Sausage, The Chris Murphy Band, Rob Sharp & Lit’l Chicago, Paul Langille, Doug Varty, Chris Trowel Band.

“London’s music community continues to grow in 2016! The Music Office is delighted that a blues focused festival is returning to London. The strength of the blues community has been proven time and time again,” said Cory Crossman, London’s Music Industry Development Officer.

This 3-day festival is in support of Spinal Cord Research at Parkwood Hospital. The London BluesFest will be produced by London musician and businessman Ron Schroeyens. Ron has been active in the local music scene since 1980. Through Ron’s work with not-for-profits, his vision has always been to start a new blues festival in London that gave back to the community.
