We have a youth mental health crisis on our hands.  Five teens in the Woodstock area have taken their lives already this year, and another 17 have attempted suicide with some reports of another intervention as recently as Sunday. Consider the total population of 37,754 people in Woodstock,  that number is incredibly high, really any number is. Students at Woodstock’s four high schools have had enough and have organized a walk out for 9am this morning and make their way to Museum Square to lobby for better mental health services. Students want more mental-health services, mental health to be included in the curriculum; and in-patient services closer to home than London.    Canadian Mental Health Association Oxford and CMHA Middlesex will also have staff on had to council and answer questions at the gathering.
