DelawareSpeedwayHighschoolChallenge

Twelve area high schools will field fourteen entries in this year’s High School Challenge program at Delaware Speedway.
The program, now entering its fourth season, aims to introduce more young people to the exciting world of motorsports and provides area high school students and their teachers with access to vehicles, safety equipment, and mentorship as they construct their own entry-level race cars.

The race date for this year’s challenge is Saturday, May 23 at 2:00 pm with Clarke Road Secondary School (London) the defending champion.

Each participating school will be working to prepare a vehicle that will be entered into competition in the track’s most affordable entry-level series: Bone Stock Enduro. During the race the cars will be driven by some of Delaware Speedway’s top drivers and personalities. The Bone Stock Enduro cars are known for their ease of preparation and affordability making them the ideal choice for this unique class project.

Delaware Speedway’s 64th racing season will open on Friday, May 15 featuring the ISMA Super Modifieds. The High School Challenge will run the following weekend on Saturday, May 23 at 2:00 pm.
